Our client in Stellenbosch is looking for a Events Operations Manager. Responsible for the full commercial, operational and experiential success of all weddings and functions. This role serves as the central integration point between client, kitchen, suppliers, supervisors, finance, and venue operations. The incumbent is accountable for profitability, seamless execution, five-star client experience, and brand reputation. This is a senior operational management role requiring financial acumen, negotiation capability, leadership maturity, and exceptional attention to detail. Ensure alignment between kitchen, bar, garden, maintenance, cleaning, supervisors, and suppliers
Resolve misalignment before it becomes operational risk
Maintain structured pre-event briefings
Ensure clarity of roles, timelines, and accountability

VENUE SALES & CONVERSION SUPPORT
Conduct professional, high-conversion venue viewings
Present the venue confidently and strategically
Understand client psychology and close effectively
Assist with structured quotations
Support revenue growth and booking pipeline stability
Outcome: Consistent revenue growth and improved booking conversion rates .
CRM DISCIPLINE & DOCUMENT CONTROL
Maintain impeccable CRM usage and data accuracy
Ensure all client communication is documented
Finalise detailed and accurate BEOs
Ensure version control of function sheets
Prevent miscommunication through documentation excellence
Outcome: Accurate documentation that eliminates preventable operational errors.
SUPPLIER & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
Maintain strong supplier relationships
Negotiate rates and service expectations
Hold suppliers accountable to venue standards
Ensure compliance with venue protocols
Manage supplier access, timing, and breakdown
Outcome: Reliable supplier partnerships aligned with venue standards and budgets .
ESTATE SERVICE STANDARDS & LEADERSHIP
Lead Event Supervisors with authority and clarity
