Introduction to the VKB Group

The VKB Group is an agricultural company, providing support to farmers and producing straight-from-the farm-foods for consumers. Apart from the various consumer brands, the VKB Group is also represented by its regional brands: VKB, GWK and NTK. Job Description
The ideal team player will sell the organisation's merchandise according to agreed targets. Effectively market stock to customers, manage stock control to ensure constant availability of stock to clients. This position will be focused on Water / Irrigation systems.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced agricultural environment, builds lasting client relationships, and delivers practical irrigation solutions tailored to customer needs.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or NQF 4
  • 2–3 years’ experience in agricultural retail, irrigation marketing, or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge of irrigation equipment, systems, and current industry trends.
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and sometimes work after hours
  • A natural people-person who thrives under pressure
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Orientation towards marketing and client service
  • Team orientated
  • Willing to undergo continuous training
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Market and sell irrigation products, pumps, water systems, and related agricultural merchandise in line with agreed sales targets.
  • Provide practical guidance to clients on irrigation, pumps and other product selection.
  • Stay updated on irrigation technologies, product trends, and water-efficiency practices to provide informed advice.
  • Maintain strong relationships with farmers, contractors, and agricultural clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Stock control and stock orders
  • Accurate measurements of spaces as per client needs
  • Receiving of stock
  • Precise calculation of cutting lists that meets the needs of the client
  • Maintain high standards of customer service , addressing queries and resolving complaints timeously
  • Other ad-hoc job related duties
  • Contribute towards marketing and promotions to drive sales growth and branch visibility.
  • Other job-related administrative duties such as GRV's, Filling, invoicing etc.)
