Field Sales Representative – Manufacturing Industry
Location: Screenex Manufacturing
Job Type: Full-Time - R32K CTC (This includes rate of pay, provident, traveling allowance and medical if required) Extra would be petrol card, Cell phone for business use and Commission
We are hiring! Join our dynamic team as a Sales Representative in the manufacturing sector. In this role, you'll work directly with clients, helping them understand and select the best products to meet their operational needs. Responsibilities:
- New Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through field visits to industrial and manufacturing clients.
- Client Engagement: Present and promote our manufactured products, tailoring solutions based on customer needs and specifications.
- Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demos and provide technical consultations to engineers, buyers, and plant managers.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with customers, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Sales Reporting: Track sales activity and performance using Excel. Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, trend analysis).
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity, using data to adjust strategies and improve sales forecasts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (engineering, logistics, production) to ensure smooth customer interactions and fulfilment of needs.
- Trade Shows & Events: Represent the company at industry trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.
- Negotiation: Negotiate all contracts with prospective clients.
- Determine Pricing: Help determining pricing schedules for quotes and promotions.
- Communicate: Make phone calls or send emails to contact prospective customers.
- Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in field sales, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Self-motivated and driven
- Proven sales experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or specifications.
- Tender preparation experience.

- Excel Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, data analysis, and report creation.
- Sales Reporting: Experience preparing and presenting sales reports and forecasts.

- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, industrial equipment, or materials.
- Computer: Computer use competency
- Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within your assigned territory.
- License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Education: High school Senior Certificate required.
