Purpose of position:
To facilitate the successful delivery of financial systems and products by translating business needs into actionable requirements, supporting Agile teams through continuous collaboration, and ensuring alignment across stakeholders, development teams, and regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between business owners, product owners, legal/compliance, and development teams
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including refinements, planning, demos, stand-ups, retrospectives, and solution crafting sessions
- Lead requirement gathering and backlog refinement activities, ensuring clarity and completeness of user stories and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate across business units to identify impacts, dependencies, and integration points with other systems and processes
- Support prioritization of team backlogs in alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility
- Monitor project progress, manage administrative tasks, and proactively resolve blockers or unknowns
- Ensure adherence to SDLC processes, including release communications, training documentation, and automation initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean Coffee sessions and other Agile practices
- Define business cases and priorities in collaboration with stakeholders
Requirements:
- Relevant degree or diploma in Business, Information Technology, or related field
- Must have prior experience in customer facing self-service portals or digital apps, including working with integrations and custom-built solutions
- Agile or Business Analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, SAFe, Scrum Master) is advantageous
Skills and Attributes:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Agile environments
- Strong background in financial systems, including integrations with third-party platforms and custom-built solutions
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to analyze complex business processes and translate them into clear technical requirements
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
