Project Manager
Hybrid/Pinelands, Cape Town
Founded in April 2004, Intelligent Debt Management Group (IDM), has established itself as South Africa’s leading and largest debt management company. IDM offers comprehensive advice and a host of highly relevant financial and effective debt relief solutions to South African consumers who are facing tight budgets and are struggling with debt.
Purpose of Role
Lead and deliver IDM projects from initiation through post-deployment, applying best practice project management, ensuring alignment to business priorities, and delivering measurable outcomes. Act as the key point of accountability for project success across stakeholders, developers, and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyse business requirements, including process mapping, needs analysis, and solution documentation.
- Develop and own comprehensive project plans: scope, timelines, risk assessment, dependencies, and cost-benefit analysis.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, liaising with developers, QA, trainers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure accountability across all parties for commitments and deadlines.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders.
- Drive implementation, ensuring effective change management and adoption.
- Monitor post-deployment performance, gather feedback, and report impact.
- Handover projects efficiently to maintain team capacity and workflow.
Requirements / Must-Have
- 2 years - 5 years project experience.
- Relevant Project Management/Financial or technical Degree.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Experience creating reports, procedures, and process documentation.
Advantageous / Nice-to-Have
- PMI or Scrum Master certification.
- Software development experience or managing complex, data-driven solutions.
- Leadership experience or exposure.
- Experience managing projects end-to-end.
