Description:
We are recruiting on behalf of a leading, specialised engineering company, delivering advanced industrial weighing systems, batch plant design, material handling and process control integration across the food, mining, pulp & paper, Tobacco, chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.
We are looking for a hands-on Electrical Instrumentation Technician with electrical and Instrumentation technical capability to join their dynamic technical team.
Key Responsibilities
-
Electrical & Instrumentation installation, wiring and fault finding
-
Loadcell installation, calibration and servicing (silos & hoppers)
-
Aftermarket support and breakdown troubleshooting on batching plants
-
Work on Loss-in-Weight and Gain-in-Weight systems
-
Flow control valves and material discharge aids integration
-
Electrical control panel design, building, wiring, labelling & commissioning
-
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
-
Site inspections, installations and commissioning
-
Manual layout planning and field wiring
-
Obtaining technical and electrical quotations from suppliers
-
Technical support to clients
-
Ensure compliance with SANAS and safety standards
Qualifications & Experience
-
Matric
-
Diploma / N3–N6 Electrical or Instrumentation / BTech Electrical or Electronic Engineering
-
Trade Certificate
-
Minimum 5 years’ Electrical Instrumentation Technician experience in Industrial Weighing & Batch Plant Systems environment
-
Experience on Projects done for the Food, Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Pharmaceutical, tobacco manufacturing and Mining sectors will secure

Afrikaans home language is essential
