- Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ Distribution in KZN (New Germany) has an opportunity available for a Code 10 Driver to join the team. The main purpose of this role will be to deliver goods to customers in a timely, productive, and professional manner while upholding Dis-Chem quality standard.

Essential:
- Grade 12 - Matric or Senior Certificate and valid Code 10 Drivers Licence with PDP
- Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience as a Driver
Job Specification…
- Ensure the right products get delivered to the right store/customer at the right time
- Use the shortest and most efficient route to the delivery store and back to the warehouse
- Offload the correct goods at the required location in such a manner as to prevent damages
- Ensure that after completion of delivery that all shipments and equipment left in the vehicle are
secured by the supplied load securing mechanisms/systems and equipment to prevent damages - Maintain effective and efficient relationships with internal and external customers to improve
operating efficiencies - Uphold professional behaviour when dealing with customers
- Report customer complaints, and requests, and give accurate feedback to management
- Ensure that the vehicle is never left unattended during the delivery process
- Responsible to keep the vehicle clean and washed
- Inspect vehicle for any defects and safe operational conditions before, during and after trips and report
any concerns to the manager - Report on all accidents and incidents involving drivers or company equipment
- Adhere to the road traffic rules and regulations as per the road traffic act
- Be responsible for any traffic fines allocated to the vehicle he/ she is driving
- Be responsible for the fuel card and ensure that the card is only used for the vehicle which the card
was allocated to - Ensure all discrepancies and any issues regarding the delivery/collection process are reported
immediately to the management and are accurately recorded on the relevant documentation and cosigned

- Knowledge of South African road rules and regulations
- Finds solutions to potential issues as well as knowing when to escalate the problem
and what level to escalate it to - Addresses customers questions in a timely manner
- Recognises the need for procedures and follows relevant procedures
- Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves
results with little oversight - Computer skills – Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
