Due to continued growth and expansion, our client is creating a new position for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Microbiologist to join their laboratory team in Potchefstroom. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing organisation with strong prospects.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine microbiological testing and laboratory analyses Prepare, label, and process samples, media, cultures, and reagents Conduct microbial identification and enumeration procedures Record, analyse, and interpret laboratory results accurately Maintain detailed laboratory documentation and reports Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, hygiene, and biosafety standards Assist with quality control processes and internal audits Maintain, clean, and calibrate laboratory equipment Support senior microbiologists with research and special projectsMinimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in microbiology, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, or related field (essential) 02 years laboratory experience (internship or practical training advantageous) Strong understanding of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills Computer literate (MS Office; laboratory information systems advantageous) Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans) Valid drivers licence (advantageous) To apply:
