Description:
Our client in the steel fabrication industry is looking for a procurement manager with procurement management experience, specifically dealing with imports, production material forecasting and inventory management to join their team in Krugersdorp Minimum requirements:- Grade 12 or relevant NQF 4 qualification
- Management qualification will be advantageous
- 3-5 years experience in a similar procurement management role
- SANS 1535 and ISO Standards
- Proficient in MS Office and Sage
- Technical Drawing Literacy: Ability to read an engineering drawing
- Experience with Imports and Exports
- Experience with production material forecasting
- Production orders and inventory management
- Strong experience in supplier management
- Steel Market Intelligence: Actively track the Steel Price Index (local and international) to make strategic "bulk buy" decisions on mild steel and stainless-steel plates/coils.
- International Freight Management: Negotiate rates and coordinate with freight forwarders for road, sea, and rail transport across borders, and manage documents
- MTC Management and MTC certificate verification
- Financial and risk management duties
