Stores Manager
A well-established game reserve is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Stores Manager to oversee and manage all stores, stock control, and procurement functions across the property. The successful candidate will ensure accurate stock levels, efficient ordering, cost control, and smooth distribution of supplies to all departments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all stores and stock rooms on the property Maintain accurate stock control systems and records Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations Monitor minimum/maximum stock levels Place orders with approved suppliers Receive, check, and record deliveries Issue stock to departments with proper documentation Reduce wastage and prevent stock losses Ensure proper storage standards (FIFO, hygiene, security) Work closely with kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance, and management
Requirements
Proven experience in stores or stock control (hospitality or lodge experience advantageous) Strong organizational and administrative skills Proficient in Microsoft Excel and stock control systems Honest, dependable, and detail-driven Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver’s license preferredWhat We Offer
