This is not a purely review or managerial role - its for someone who still loves doing the work.
Duties:
Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs Detailed balance sheet reconciliations Month-end close and financial reporting Units bought vs. sold reporting and analysis Creditors inspections and reviews RMA annual calculations Writing off of AODs within Accounts Payable & Receivable Completion and submission of VAT201 returns Corporate tax compliance including ITR14 submissions Management of day-to-day tax and risk compliance Oversight of VAT and broader statutory compliance Maintaining a strong internal control environment Acting as an authorised signatory on EFT payments and refunds Assisting with quarterly forecasts across group entities Supporting Finance leadership on ad hoc projects
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
Matric (Grade 12) BCom Accounting (or equivalent)
Experience:
Completed SAICA /SAIPA articles Minimum 1 years post-article or relevant experience Strong financial reporting and reconciliation skills Solid tax and VAT compliance knowledge
Skills & Competencies:
High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Deep exposure to core accounting functions Highly operational, hands-on finance environment Involvement in compliance, reporting, and controls Opportunity to work closely with senior finance leadership Exposure to multi-entity and group reporting
