Site/Construction Manager Ref 2601

Durban/Pietermaritzburg Area

(SALARY: R12000-R17 000 per month negotiable dependent on skills and experience)

Main Purpose: To Manage the Construction processes

Reporting to the: Operations Manager

Key Performance areas:

· To Supervise trade teams

· Site Management

· To check finishes on buildings

· Building setting out

· Prioritizing duties

· Ordering and management of material

· Planning and schedule

· Management of construction process (foundation to completion/handover)
staff management

· Liaising with stakeholders

· Management of tools and equipment

· Responsible for construction site safety management

Experience:

· Previous experience with community construction companies and on government low-cost housing projects will be a distinct advantage.

· 3/4 years Built environment qualification

· 2 to 5-year experience

· Valid driver license

· Mobile smart phone

The incumbent should have good report writing and numerical skills and be fully computer literate. The incumbent must be confident and decisive, client focus. Ability to plan and organize, information gathering and problem analysis, quality and detail orientation, presenting and communicating information, report writing and co-ordination of inspections

Have the ability to give attention to detail; have excellent organizing and co-ordination qualities with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good negotiating skills, Ability to work independently, self-motivated and resourceful, Ability to multi-task, Able to operate successfully under tight deadlines and time pressures, Build and maintain and retain relationships.
