Job Overview:

Our construction company is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Health and Safety Officer to oversee all health and safety aspects of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction safety regulations, procedures, and best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement safety guidelines, policies, and procedures for construction sites
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Identify potential hazards and risks and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Conduct safety training for employees and subcontractors
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, and provide recommendations for prevention
  • Maintain safety records and reports for all construction projects
  • Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to construction health and safety
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or related field
  • (CHSO) has an active registered as CHSO with SACPCMP ( as a Health and Safety Construction Manager)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction health and safety
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and guidelines
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software
