Quantity Suveyor

My client, a construction company based in the Helderberg area, is seeking to employ an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a QS degree and at least 5 – 10 years experience in civil and building to join their team Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Minimum 5 -10 years’ experience in civil and building projects
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and cost control
• Proficiency in QS software and Microsoft Office
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be fully bilingual

Duties will include, but not limited to:

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning
• Manage project costs and cash flow
• Prepare tender and contract documents
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor quotations
• Monitor project progress and prepare interim valuations
• Handle variations, claims, and final accounts
• Ensure projects are completed within budget

Please note that only candidates currently residing in the Helderberg Area will be considered for this position.
