Core Group is looking for a Order Management Controller to join our team.
Role Purpose
The Order Management Controller is responsible for managing the full order lifecycle across multiple sales channels. This includes accurate order capturing, tracking, allocation, backorder management, and customer communication.
The role ensures orders are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining strong customer relationships and meeting agreed SLAs and lead times. This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction within the supply chain function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full order lifecycle across multiple sales channels, from order capture to fulfilment and invoicing
- Ensure accurate order processing, including pricing, allocations, freight, and customer details
- Monitor and manage backorders, providing regular updates and reports to customers
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status, delays, and allocations
- Resolve order-related queries and issues within agreed service levels
- Track daily order releases and ensure adherence to operational cut-offs
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with internal processes and training requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and balanced workload across channels
What a Typical Day Looks Like
- High-volume data capturing on Syspro.
- Monitoring order cut-offs and warehouse releases.
- Communicating with customers regarding allocations, delays, and updates.
- Managing tickets and resolving queries.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
- Switching between multiple customer accounts and channels throughout the day.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) - Minimum requirement
- 2+ years working experience in a similar role
- Proven customer service experience
- Experience in order capturing and full order lifecycle management
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience working on Syspro
- Experience using a ticketing system (e.g., Freshservice or similar)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to complete full processes end-to-end

Working hours:
Please note that the working hours are set from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasionally, Saturday work may be required during our peak periods (Sept to Dec).
