- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in legal business development, tender management or a related role
- Proven experience working within a legal environment (essential)
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
- Strong understanding of tender processes and bid compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation and negotiation abilities
- Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
- Strategic thinker with strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities
Key Performance Areas
Tender & Bid Management
- Monitor and summarise new bid advertisements daily
- Distribute new business leads to Directors promptly
- Prepare and maintain tender documents, templates and proposals
- Coordinate internal approvals and compile all tender inputs for final submission
- Track deadlines and ensure timely, compliant submissions
- Maintain and archive tender files; update bid registers and tender libraries
- Assist with the preparation and review of tender packages, including instructions to bidders, contract forms, general terms & conditions, and bid documentation
Stakeholder Communication & Coordination
- Liaise with internal departments on tender requirements, progress, and updates
- Correspond with vendors and stakeholders, including handling NDAs and confirmations of interest
- Draft professional written communication to internal teams, suppliers, bidders, and contractors
- Provide support and respond to tender-related queries
Evaluation, Negotiation & Business Development
- Contribute to tender evaluations and assist with contract negotiations
- Support successful bids through to completion and handover
- Ensure smooth coordination between relevant teams and external parties
- Identify and pursue new business development opportunities
