Role Overview:This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for managing the day-to-day performance and P&L of our International Freight client's branch in Port Moresby.
The successful candidate must bring strong CargoWise capability alongside proven people and operational leadership experience in a freight forwarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage branch operations across sea and air freight forwarding. Ensure effective and consistent use of CargoWise across all operational activities. Maintain financial accountability and responsible for P&L for the branch. Supervise, mentor, and develop branch staff. Maintain operational standards, compliance, and data accuracy. Oversee quotations, job costing, invoicing, and financial reporting. Act as the senior point of contact for key clients and stakeholders Drive efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement within the branch Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven experience in a Branch Manager or senior operations role within a freight forwarding
Strong, hands-on experience using CargoWise (mandatory) Demonstrated leadership and people management capability Solid understanding of freight forwarding operations, customs processes, and compliance Commercially aware with experience overseeing operational performance and costs Confident decision-maker, firm but fair leadership style willing to set and maintain standards. Residential role based in Port Moresby Accommodation and transport provided Single-status expatriate package (accompanied may be negotiated, no dependent children) 3-year contract with potential extension
