Description:
A Quality Controller (Seal Manufacturing) ensures that all rubber, polymer, and mechanical seals meet dimensional, material, and performance specifications. The role focuses on inspecting raw materials, monitoring molding/curing processes, and verifying finished seals comply with customer drawings and industry standards.Inspect rubber compounds, PTFE, elastomers (NBR, EPDM, Viton/FKM, Silicone, etc.)
Verify material certifications and batch traceability
Conduct hardness (Shore A), tensile, and elongation tests
Use calipers (verniers), micrometres, and o -ring gauges
Check dimensions against technical data sheets
Conduct visual inspection for surface defects (flash, cracks and deformation)
Maintain inspection records and quality reports
Prepare non-conformance reports (NCR)
Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
Support internal and external audits
Analyse defect trends for each supplier
Suggest corrective and preventive actions
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of rubber/elastomer properties
Knowledge of full dimensional inspection techniques
Familiarity with hardness testers and testing equipment
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail
Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems
OWN TRANSPORT REQUIRED
5 years of experience in rubber or seal manufacturingExperience in hydraulic, automotive, or industrial sealing products preferred.
Ability to handle small components and measurement toolsGood eyesight for detailed inspection
