Report to BI ManagerJob Purpose:
Work closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) Manager to transform raw, multi-source data into reliable, timely, and actionable insights. This role blends strong data fundamentals with modern AI-assisted analysis to accelerate delivery of dashboards, reports, and decision support
Key Performance Indicators:
On-time delivery of dashboards/reports against SLAs.
Data quality metrics: completeness, accuracy, reconciliation rates.
Stakeholder satisfaction scores and adoption of dashboards.
Measured impact of AI-assisted insights (time saved, decision quality
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience:Grade 12
Tertiary qualification ( Degree/Diploma in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science or related field)
2–4 years in a Data Analyst role supporting BI/reporting, ideally in operations or service environments.
Skills & Knowledge required:
SQL (intermediate to advanced): joins, aggregations, etc.
Power BI: data modelling, DAX, Power Query; dashboard UX and performance optimisation.
Excel (advanced): Pivot Tables, Power Query, data cleaning techniques.
Nice to have: AI tool proficiency: Copilot/ChatGPT or similar for insight generation; prompt engineering best practices and result validation.
Nice to have: Think-Cell
Analytical storytelling: turning data into clear narratives and recommendations.
Awareness of data governance and privacy (e.g., POPIA)
Exposure to Python or suitable alternatives to enable report automation
