As Senior Accountant, youll sit at the heart of financial reporting and performance, partnering with leadership, engaging auditors, navigating IFRS 17 and ensuring the business stays compliant, efficient, and strategically aligned.Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver accurate financial results across all reporting areas
- Lead external audit liaison and support annual financial statement completion
- Ensure IFRS, regulatory, tax and statutory compliance
- Manage IFRS 17 requirements and partner with actuarial teams
- Oversee expense management and drive cost optimisation
- Produce and review operational and financial performance reports
- Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning processes
- Prepare tax calculations and ensure SARS compliance
- Monitor cash flow, payments, and day-to-day finance operations
- Partner with stakeholders and support the Head of Finance on strategic initiatives
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- CA(SA) preferred OR BCom Honours Degree
- Minimum 5 years post-articles experience, OR 7 to 10 years' commercial experience
- Financial Services / Banking / Insurance industry exposure essential
- Strong IFRS 17 knowledge
- Experience with HFM / Hyperion beneficial
- Group reporting experience required
- Prior management / team leadership experience essential
- Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering ability.
