Reporting to the Operations Manager
The above position is vacant at our Cleveland Branch. The overall purpose of this position is to ensure an efficient flow of schedules, issuing of confidential information and tracking of the fleet.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric
- Clear criminal record
- Valid driver's license,PDP
- PSIRA accredited with a minimum Grade C qualification is advantageous
- At least 2 years’ CIT experience.
- Computer literate (compulsory)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Clear disciplinary record
- Communication with armored vehicles
- Maintains GPS, radio and/or telephonic communication with vehicle crews so that their whereabouts and actions are known at all times
- Uses and ensures crews use, the codes in all communication transmissions
- Ensures that the emergency procedures are known to the vehicle crews and that correct procedures are adhered to
- Maintains and records a precise and accurate daily log sheet of all vehicles. This includes ‘blind GPS spot’ notations, no service receipt number, standby situations, operational reminders, failure to meet agreed schedules, and non-scheduled work
- Phones client to confirm that a ‘no service’ was required when such is given to crew
- Brief new road crews on specific details of their schedules to ensure maximum efficiency, courtesy and safe driving.
- Keeps at hand, all emergency telephone numbers within the branch’s jurisdiction
- Keeps maps covering the Branch’s operations to facilitate schedule planning, re-routing and any other general information
- Completes client complaint register to resolve every complaint received, and submits to Manager
- Acts upon Manager’s instructions to avoid recurring bad service
- Contacts client and keeps client updated of progress in the event of a problem with the service
- Security
- Do thorough morning vehicle checks to ensure that:
- All bags, except key bags, are loaded in safes
- All safes are shut closed and locked
- The interlocking system is 100% operational
- The vehicle is clean
- The panic buttons for both the crew and the driver is tested and working
- All other requirements as set out on the vehicle check list.
- Do thorough afternoon checks to ensure that all the requirements as set out on the vehicle check list is met.
- Vault room
- Prepares bag pre-lists accurately. Record those bags due into the vault room, and submits such to vault room controller.
- Advises vault room controller of all changes to bags in and out as they become known to control.
- Clients
- Adheres to all operational directives with regard to client services
- Ensures that all clients are serviced contractually
- Other branches
- Maintains liaison to facilitate any emergency planning or action in the event
- General
- Consults with Manager during the day concerning accidents, delays, or incidents to ensure schedule adjustments and completion within minimum disruption of clients and the company
- Files and stores all documentation in a neat traceable manner.
- Carries out other duties as may be required or directed by management
