Company and Job Description:Responsible for preparing detailed project cost estimates and comprehensive proposals for electrical and automation tenders. This role involves collaborating with sales, engineering, and other teams to understand client requirements and develop solutions that meet their needs. The Proposal Engineer analyzes requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for quotations (RFQs), reviews technical requirements and drawings, and coordinates with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain necessary information.
Qualifications:
Matric (Grade 12) National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Compulsory) B-Tech in Electrical Engineering (Advantage) ECSA Membership / Member of a Proposals Professional Body (Advantage) Key Responsibilities:

3-5 years Experience of formal tender estimating and pricing bids and proposal experience in an electrical engineering environment, industrial electrical projects and tenders, including experience with Motor Control Centers (MCC) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) projects. 3.5 years Experience in reading and analysing requests for proposal (RFPs) and requests for quotation (RFQs). Experience with reading and analyzing technical requirements and drawings, with knowledge of Variable Speed Drives and SCADA systems. Experience in the water and wastewater treatment industry (Advantage)
