Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring, designing, and producing accurate technical drawings of components used in mould manufacturing.This role is suited to a technically skilled individual with strong attention to detail and experience in mechanical drafting.
Key Responsibilities
Measure existing components accurately using appropriate measuring instruments Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks Develop component and assembly drawings for manufacturing Modify and update existing drawings as required Ensure drawings comply with company standards and technical specifications Liaise with toolmakers, machinists, and production teams to ensure design accuracy Maintain proper drawing records and revision control Minimum Requirements
For Junior Candidates:
Relevant technical qualification (Mechanical Engineering, Draughting, or similar) 13 years experience using SolidWorks Basic understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings For Senior Candidates:
Relevant technical qualification 5+ years experience in SolidWorks drafting Strong understanding of mould manufacturing processes Experience measuring components and reverse engineering Ability to work independently and manage drawing projects Skills & Competencies
Proficient in SolidWorks (2D & 3D modelling) Strong technical and mechanical understanding High level of accuracy and attention to detail Good problem-solving skills Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong communication skills
