Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager: Exports Chemical Products to drive growth across Sub-Saharan Africa (excluding South Africa). The role focuses on developing new export markets, managing key customer relationships, and delivering sales and margin targets across multiple African countries.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve sales volume, revenue, and margin targets Identify and develop new export markets and customers Prepare proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and close deals Build and maintain strong customer and distributor relationships Conduct regular customer visits and quarterly business reviews Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and growth opportunities Represent the company at trade shows and industry events Liaise with internal sales, supply chain, finance, and technical teams Support OTIF delivery performance and demand forecasting Ensure compliance with export documentation and controlsMinimum Requirements
Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, or related field 68 years experience in export sales and business development Proven track record across Sub-Saharan / East Africa Experience in industrial adhesives, chemicals, or technical products Strong commercial, negotiation, and analytical skills Proficient in CRM systems ( Salesforce preferred) Willing and able to travel extensivelyWhats on Offer
