This role is ideally suited to a motivated hospitality professional ready to step up in their career. It is an ideal stepping stone, offering full operational exposure and hands-on leadership experience in a lodge environment.Core Criteria:
- Previous lodge or hospitality experience
- Computer literate (Microsoft Excel essential)
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to manage staff and uphold lodge standards
- Strong attention to detail with stock control and financial administration
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Confident host with excellent guest engagement skills
- Guiding qualifications advantageous (bonus)Core Responsibilities:
- Overseeing day-to-day lodge operations
- Opening and closing of the lodge daily
- Conducting daily staff briefings
- Guest check-ins, check-outs, and hosting of meals
- Guest liaison and booking of external activities
- Weekly food and stock ordering
- Food costing and menu planning
- Bar, food, and cleaning stock control and record keeping
- Income administration, petty cash, banking, and staff payslips
- Annual stock takes
- Drawing up staff schedules (daily and leave cycles)
- Overseeing lodge staff, guides, and students
- Maintenance reporting and minor in-house fixes
- Generator/Eskom readings and borehole checks
- Staff transport and town trips when requiredOn Offer:
