Job & Company Description:This well-established manufacturing company is seeking a motivated , hands-on Group Accountant to join its finance team based in Edenvale on a 6-month contract.
This role is ideally suited to a BCom-qualified professional who has completed articles and has 5+ years post-articles accounting experience, with exposure to group accounting and reporting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for core accounting and group reporting functions, supporting accurate reporting, compliance, and effective financial management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly management accounts Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger integrity Support group reporting and consolidation processes Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls Assist with audits and respond to audit queries Work on ERP systems to ensure accurate financial data and reporting
Job Experience & Qualifications:
BCom degree with completed articles (essential) 5+ years post-articles accounting experience Exposure to group accounting and consolidation is advantageous Manufacturing industry experience is beneficial ERP system experience essential (NetSuite advantageous) Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
