Mechanical Technician (Heavy Equipment Assembly & Repair)Location: Vereeniging
Duration: 36 Month Contract
We are recruiting a skilled Mechanical Technician with strong experience in heavy equipment assembly, mechanical repairs, and cableâ??manufacturing machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance, assembly & repair of heavy cable machinery. Diagnose mechanical & hydraulic faults. Preventative maintenance, gearbox inspections, alignment, roller changes, etc. Replace faulty components: gearboxes, motors, pumps, transmission systems. Interpret hydraulic diagrams & assembly drawings. Support shutdown planning. Ensure full Health & Safety compliance. Minimum Requirements
NQF 5 Mechanical Engineering or similar. Trade Certificate. 25 years Mechanical Technician experience. Cable manufacturing maintenance experience (essential). Strong mechanical & hydraulic system knowledge. Licenses: C30 Crane, F2 Forklift, Rigger Class 2.
