Junior Site and Experience Scout (National Travel Role)

We are looking for a curious, organised, and people-oriented Junior Site & Experience Scout to support our planning department by identifying and evaluating new places and experiences for our itineraries.

This role focuses on research, travel, site visits, and supplier relationship-building. The successful candidate will explore attractions, activities, restaurants, and accommodation options, ensuring they meet our quality, safety, and experience standards before being added to our programmes.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Research & Visits

• Travel to destinations across South Africa to assess venues and attractions

• Identify exciting and suitable activities, adventure experiences, cultural sites, restaurants, and accommodation

• Evaluate locations for quality, safety, accessibility, and group suitability

• Take clear photos and videos to share with the planning and marketing teamsSupplier & Venue Evaluation

  • Meet with venue managers, activity providers, and hospitality partners

  • Gather pricing, packages, group options, and operational details

  • Assess service levels, professionalism, and overall guest experienceRelationship Building & Negotiation

    • Build positive, long-term relationships with suppliers and venue partners

    • Negotiate favourable group rates and value-added benefits for TEAM BUILDER clients

    • Maintain an organised supplier database with updated contact and pricing informationSupport to Planning Department

      • Provide detailed reports and feedback after each site visit

      • Share recommendations on how venues and activities can fit into different programme types

      • Assist planners with updated options for new and existing itinerariesTravel Requirement

        This role involves frequent and sometimes extended travel throughout South Africa. Flexibility and a love for being on the road are essential.Requirements

        • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

        • Confident meeting new people and representing the organisation professionally

        • Good observation skills and attention to detail

        • Comfortable taking photos and short videos for internal use

        • Organised and able to document findings clearly

        • Willing and able to travel extensively

        • Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
