LIFT TECHNICIAN
Econo Home Lifts is seeking an experienced Lift Technician to join our team in George, Western Cape!
ABOUT THE ROLE: We're looking for a skilled technician to install, service, maintain, and repair passenger elevators, freight elevators, and platform/accessibility lifts. This is a great opportunity to work with a variety of lift systems while providing excellent service to our clients across South Africa and internationally.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Install new lift systems including passenger, freight, and accessibility lifts

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on existing lift systems

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues

Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high safety standards

Commission and test newly installed lift systems

Provide professional, courteous service to clients

Ensure all work complies with safety codes and regulations (SANS 10400, OHS Act)

Maintain accurate service records and documentation

Travel to client sites across South Africa and abroad as required
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

3-5 years of experience as a lift/elevator technician

Proven experience with lift installation projects

Valid Code 08 driver's licence and reliable transport

Valid passport and willingness to travel nationally and internationally

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Commitment to safety compliance and best practices

Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor

Ability to work independently and manage service calls

Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
-
Trade certificate or relevant technical qualification preferred

Electrician's licence advantageous
