Description:
A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimise all plant operations. The role ensures efficient, safe, and high-quality production, manages supply chain and inventory, and drives operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:

Manage daily manufacturing operations, meeting production, quality, and safety targets.

Plan and schedule production, balancing workloads to optimise capacity.
-
Oversee inventory, material availability, and supply chain coordination.
-
Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
-
Lead and develop operational teams, monitor performance, and support workforce planning.
-
Analyse operational KPIs and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
-
Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to HSE policies.
-
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and workflows.

Coordinate cross-departmental projects to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Requirements:

Matric and Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering; postgraduate preferred.

Minimum 5 years’ operations management experience in manufacturing.

Knowledge of ERP/MRP/MES systems, production planning, and inventory control.
-
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification advantageous.
