Description:
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and produce detailed 2D and 3D drawings of crane and hoist parts, assemblies, and layouts using CAD software. Interpret engineering concepts, specifications, and technical data to create accurate drawings for manufacturing use. Update, revise, and maintain drawing documentation to reflect design changes or improvements. Liaise with engineering and manufacturing teams to clarify design intent and resolve technical issues. Ensure drawings meet industry standards, internal quality controls, and customer requirements. Assist with bill of materials (BOM) preparation linked to production drawings. Generate and manage drawing revisions within document control systems.
Qualifications & Skills
National Diploma or Certificate in Draughting/Engineering Drawing or equivalent. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software). Experience in 2D and 3D mechanical drafting. Knowledge of engineering standards and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Strong technical interpretation and attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills. Experience in manufacturing or heavy mechanical industries is beneficial.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years experience in a draughting or CAD role within a mechanical engineering or industrial manufacturing environment
