Refuse Collector (Grade 02)

Grounds and Gardens

The Grounds and Gardens department invites suitably qualified candidates to join their team.


Main Objectives

To provide support and assistance for the transporting and collection of refuse for the University. Also attends to various tasks associated with the collection of refuse from kitchens, residences and campus grounds.

The Requirements

Grade 10 or equivalent and as this is an entry level position, no experience is necessary.

Remuneration per annum (Grade 02):

Basic Pensionable Salary per annum: R138 587

Cost to Company per annum (Approximately): R212 398

All applications will be treated in strict confidence. This post is advertised as a permanent post, but the University may opt to appoint on a fixed-term contract of not less than three years . The University reserves the right not to proceed with the filling of the post. An application does not entitle the applicant to an interview.
