FUNDRAISER

KZN FUNDRAISING OFFICE -VERULAM

This position will suit a mature responsible person who is prepared to work according to the Girls and Boys Town South Africa values.

This position carries a competitive basic salary plus incentives. It is based at the KZN Fundraising Office, Verulam, KZN

Duties of the Fundraising Consultant

• Attract new sponsorships and donations against set targets
• Research and identify potential funders and funding opportunities
• Initiate and build relationships (face to face. networking, events)
• Produce a targeted number of fundraising proposals per month
• Service a donor portfolio
• Meet donor requirements
• Liaise with Projects to identify needs and develop proposals
• Manage information and record the profile and fundraising activity of donors on the database
• Raise funds as per targets agreed upon

• Grade 12 Sertificate
• A sales or marketing qualification will be an added advantage

• Previous selling or Fundraising experience
• Good writing and verbal communication skills
• At least 5 years work experience in Sales and Fundraising
• A valid driver's license
• Computer literate

• Applicants must be self-motivated, energetic and mature
• Able to work independently and within a team environment
• Like to work with people face to face, telephonically and through other electronic channels
• Must be computer literate
• Must be dedicated, persistent and have perseverance
• Have a wide network of associates and contacts
• Ability to interact with people at all levels of society
• Creativity, imagination and an intrepreneurial flair towards fundraising
• Be multifaceted, adaptive and show initiative
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain efficiencies with attention to detail

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Sertificate
