VACANCY: GROWER (LANDS & GREENHOUSES)
East London, Eastern Cape
We are looking for a motivated and hardworking Grower to join our team. The position will involve assisting with crop production in both open fields (lands) and greenhouses. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to gain experience and grow within the agricultural industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily crop production in lands and greenhouses Monitor crop growth, plant health, irrigation and fertiliser programs Scout for pests, diseases and nutrient deficiencies Assist with spraying and chemical application programs (as per regulations) Support planting, pruning, harvesting and grading activities Maintain accurate production records and report to management Assist with general farm planning and operational duties Ensure good housekeeping and hygiene standards in greenhouse areasMinimum Requirements:
Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and crop management Willingness to work outdoors and in greenhouse conditions Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Good communication skills Valid driver’s licence (advantage)Preferred (Advantage):
Experience in greenhouse vegetable production Understanding of fertiliser and pest control programs Knowledge of basic farm equipment and production planning Ability to supervise or work with farm staffSalary:
Market-related and negotiable depending on experience
