Description:
This role operates in alignment with the requirements of our Telematics, fleet management, and reporting focus areas and functions as a technical leadership position.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of scalable data engineering solutions across the organisation.
- Drive hands-on development while providing technical guidance to Data Engineering teams.
- Deliver data platforms and pipelines on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
- Ensure best-practice development, testing, and optimisation of SQL, ETL, reporting, and data products.
- Maintain and enhance data systems, supporting modernisation and new technologies.
- Collaborate with architects, managers, and cross-functional teams on technical design and implementation.
- Share knowledge and mentor junior engineers.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Completed BEng or BSc or related Degree
- Minimum 4+ years' work experience with data engineering, data product delivery, working with large volume data, technical leadership roles
- Tech Experience:
- SQL: MSSQL (required). Oracle, MySQL, or other SQL platforms (optional)
- Data Warehousing: SSAS (required). Other platforms optional
