Description:
The Project Administrator will form part of the Project team. The role will be located at the Prieska Copper Zinc Mine (PCZM) located close to the town of Prieska.
Minimum Requirements :
- Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification in Administration/ Document Control/ Office Management.
- Computer Literacy in MS Office is essential
Experience:
- At least 10 years' experience in the project administration function
- At least 5 years' experience in a Project Administrator role
- At least 3 years' experience in a major engineering construction project
General role responsibilities:
- Attain competence in Project Execution Plan (PEP) administration domains;
- Develop Project Administration Management Plan defining systems, processes, procedures, and forms, secure PM confirmation for PEP support.
- Own the Project Administration Management Plan and contribute to PCZM management plans.
- Serve on Leadership Team led by PM;
- Master document control procedures for feasibility studies and business cases;
- Ensure retrievability post-FID.
- Post-FID, review project definition with leadership team (objectives, parameters, battery limits, WBS budgets).
- Support leadership team in presenting finalized PEP to the Steering Committee for project initiation approval.
- Implement administration plan from initiation, covering:
- Project Control system oversight.
- Project office setup (internet, IT, meetings).
- Aid leaders' management plans in PCZM PEP.
- Coordinate document control for filing system.
- Admin support to Engineering/Planning Managers for Work packs.
- Contract admin for Procurement/Engineering/Planning (tenders, selection, administration).
- Execute communication strategy (meetings/reports).
- Admin aid to Construction Manager/Superintendents (pre-starts, toolbox, production, timesheets, job costing).
- Warehouse delivery/accounts payable management.
- Visitor management and milestone events.
- Establish & maintain a formal Project Document Control System.
- PA services to PM.
