Our client in PTA is looking for an Electrical Assembly worker Minimum Requirements:- Matric Certificate
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is advantageous
- Planning and organizing ability
Duties and Tasks:
- Assembling component parts and electrical and electronic systems and positioning, aligning and fastening units to assemblies, sub-assemblies, or frames using hand or power tools, soldering and micro spot-welding equipment
- Reviewing work orders to determine materials needed and assembly instructions.
- Recording production and operational data on specified forms
- Operating wire-coiling machines to wind wire coils used in electrical equipment and components such as registers, transformers, armature wires, electric motors and generators.
- Inspecting and testing completed components and assemblies to relevant Work Instructions.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- Select components as per drawings, job cards and BOM, accompanied by stores staff
- Assemble components using soldering, hand tools, or resin/ glue/adhesive tapes according to drawings, job cards and BOM.
- Report discrepancies and scrapped components to the supervisor
- Properly dispose of waste and material off-cuts
- Operate machines: coil winders, spot welders and label printers
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Accurately complete and submit production documents on time
- Report delays, issues, malfunctions or breakages to the supervisor.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by Management within company scope
- Follow all health, safety, and company policies
- Inspect machines before use for safe operation, including emergency switches
- Keep machines and workstations clean
- Report any leaks or spills immediately
- Always wear assigned PPE
Package & Remuneration Hourly Rate: R87.84 (R7 027.20 p/fortnight) Benefit: MIBFA Provident & Sick Pay Fund
