Main purpose of the job:To coordinate a community based study assessing body composition To assist with training support and quality improvement for the study, as well as sample management and analysis Location:
DPHRU - Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Soweto Key performance areas:
Assist with training for staff in the study Manage regulatory and ethics related matters for the study Review of participant files for completeness Assist with study documentation development and maintenance of study records Biological sample management and laboratory analysis of stable isotope assessments Maintain a good system for reporting daily study activities Review data as set out by the study protocol Compiling and submission of study progress reports Manage day-to-day running of the study Set study recruitment/enrolment and retention targets for the team and ensure that they are met Manage scheduled and unscheduled participant visits for the study Required minimum education and training:
Masters Degree in Paediatrics and Child Health or similar field with Research experience Drivers licence and able to drive a manual vehicle Experience working with stable isotopes Required minimum work experience:
