Description:
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Facilities Supervisor to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of four commercial properties in the Durban area.
This role is ideal for a retired or semi-retired individual who enjoys staying active and ensuring buildings are well maintained and compliant.
Responsibilities:
Conduct regular property inspections using maintenance checklists
Coordinate and supervise maintenance contractors and service providers
Ensure buildings are clean, safe, and well maintained
Monitor and report maintenance issues and corrective actions
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
Keep basic records and reports on maintenance activities
Requirements:
Previous experience in facilities, building maintenance, or property supervision
Strong practical understanding of Health & Safety compliance
Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
Good communication skills when dealing with contractors
Basic computer skills (email, simple reports, checklists)
Own transport preferred
This position would suit a hands-on individual who takes pride in keeping facilities in excellent condition.
