Description:
We are looking for a skilled, versatile Lead Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate isn't just a "parts changer"—you’re a diagnostic expert who is equally comfortable troubleshooting a modern common-rail diesel engine as you are tuning a petrol-injection system.
Key Responsibilities
Full Spectrum Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, multi-point inspections, and preventative maintenance on all makes and models.
Advanced Diagnostics: Use scan tools and old-school intuition to identify mechanical and electrical faults across petrol and diesel platforms.
Major Repairs: Execute engine overhauls, timing belt/chain replacements, clutch swaps, and gearbox repairs.
Systems Specialist: Diagnose and repair braking systems (ABS), suspension, steering, and exhaust systems (including DPF/EGR issues for diesels).
Quality Control: Conduct road tests to ensure all repairs are completed to the highest safety standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
Versatility: Proven experience working on a wide range of vehicles (European, Japanese, Domestic).
Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of both internal combustion petrol engines and high-pressure diesel systems.
Certification: Fully qualified/Trade Certified Mechanic (Red Seal or equivalent preferred).
Problem Solver: Ability to read wiring diagrams and interpret complex diagnostic data.
Tools of the Trade: Must possess a comprehensive personal tool kit.
License: A valid, clean driver’s license is essential.
