893 Senior Director: Estates and Infrastructure (P4) RESOURCES AND OPERATIONS │ Office of the Senior Director: Estates and Infrastructure Bloemfontein Campus Main purpose of the job To provide strategic leadership, governance oversight, and operational assurance for the planning, development, maintenance, and sustainability of the University’s estates, infrastructure, facilities, and built assets across all campuses, in support of CUT Vision 2030. The role ensures resilient, compliant, safe, and future-ready infrastructure that enables academic excellence, student success, institutional sustainability, and stakeholder confidence.Main tasks

- Master’s degree (e.g., MSc / MTech / M. Eng) with a relevant degree in Built Environment (Construction Management or Quantity Surveying or Construction Project Management) or Civil Engineering or Engineering Management.
- Ten (10) years’ experience in managing building construction projects, building maintenance, facilities and asset management, infrastructure planning, with 5 years’ people management experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing infrastructure portfolios within a public/private-sector or higher education environment, including compliance, audit, and governance requirements.
- Professional registration such as ECSA, SACPCMP, SACQSP, or equivalent.
- Sound knowledge in areas of Estates and Facilities management.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Understanding of health & safety, construction, labour, and environmental legislation, e.g., LRA, BBBEE, BCE, OHS Act.
- Knowledge and understanding of building and construction codes and regulations.
- Master’s degree in Built Environment (e.g. MSc Built Environment or MTech Construction Management), Civil Engineering or Engineering Management together with an Estate and Infrastructure Management qualification
- Fifteen (15) years’ experience in Estates and Facilities management, with eight (8) years’ people management experience.
