This role is designed for a senior finance professional who understands the precision , regulation, and reporting demands of the public sector. Youll operate at a strategic level, working closely with senior management and key stakeholders, while ensuring accurate, compliant, and insightful financial reporting.The position involves national travel and offers exposure to large-scale public sector operations, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both boardroom impact and on-the-ground engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee financial reporting in line with public sector standards Ensure compliance with the PFMA, treasury regulations, and relevant legislation Prepare and review high-level management and statutory reports Manage audits and liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies Provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Engage with regional finance teams and stakeholders nationally
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Qualification: CA(SA) essential Experience: 810+ years post-articles experience Background: Strong public sector exposure highly preferred Reporting: Extensive experience in complex financial and statutory reporting Mobility: Willingness to travel nationally Profile: Strong leadership presence, confident communicator, and detail-driven
