Description:
Maintenance Person required at apartment complex in Mitchells Plain
· Perform basic plumbing maintenance and repairs on taps, basins, sinks and toilets.
· Perform basic carpentry including hanging and replacing doors.
· Change locks on doors.
· Apply and repair paint and minor plastering.
· Replace broken floor and wall tiles.
· Fit, test, repair and replace fixtures and fittings, including lightbulbs.
· Operate hand and power tools as needed.
· Maintain appropriate safety measures when carrying out jobs.
· Report requirements for repairs to Management.
· Maintain tidiness during and after completing jobs and leave the work area free of debris.
· Monitor and maintain inventory on jobs. Report inventory of maintenance to Tenant Liaison Officer.
· Fill in job cards when performing unit maintenance and ensure filled in job cards are given to Tenant Liaison Officer.
- must have at least 5 years' experience in different trades
- must live in Mitchells Plain area
- work hours: 8.30am - 5.00pm (Mon-Thu)
8.30am - 4.30pm (Fri)
8.30am - 3.00pm (every second Saturday)
- Gross monthly salary: R 7 000.00
