MEDICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE – DIABETES CAREPosition and TerritoryLocation: Cape Town – Southern Suburbs (including country trips to the Garden Route)This is a full-time, field-based position offering a competitive salary and commission structure.About the CompanyOur client has a strong focus on diabetes care and related illnesses and is committed to improving lives through innovative healthcare solutions.As part of an exciting growth phase in the diabetes care space, they are seeking a high-performing Medical Sales Representative to drive awareness, engagement, and adoption of their products across the Western Cape territory.If you are driven by science, passionate about patient outcomes, and thrive in a field-based sales role, this opportunity is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory-specific sales strategy to meet sales, growth, and market share targets.
  • Promote diabetes-focused products to healthcare professionals in medical practices, clinics, and pharmacies.
  • Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders, medical staff, and decision-makers across the healthcare sector.
  • Conduct effective product and clinical data presentations in practice settings, CME events, and trade shows.
  • Identify new business opportunities and maximise territory coverage through high-quality customer engagement.
  • Plan, document, and report on weekly schedules and customer interactions using company systems.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity, adapting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Achieve and exceed defined sales targets and KPIs, including call rate and strike rate.
  • Maintain a strong in-field presence through regular day trips and country travel within the assigned region.

What We’re Looking For

  • Diploma or degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales, preferably within diabetes or chronic disease management.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyse sales data and market trends.
  • Valid driver’s license, own vehicle, and willingness to travel extensively across the region.
