Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:Accounting of the business and trust accounts, up to Trial Balance Completing the month-end processes and preparing the monthly management reports Preparing Board meeting agenda, taking minutes Updating of longterm cashflow reports through liaising with department heads on expected fees in pipeline Preparation of salaries on Sage Professional Payroll and monthly PAYE submissions Creation of the invoices on AJS for Conveyancing/Bond fees. Performing fee transfers on the system to take fees from Trust to Business (weekly) Assisting directors with posting WIP as per timesheets to AJS and finalising invoices, as well as managing debtors and following up on payments Reviewing the creditors processing Compiling the information pack for the directors personal tax (which is done by the auditors) Statutory compliance Basic HR such as leave recording, preparing letters of appointment and contracts of employment VAT reconciliations and submissions Preparation of audit files for the Statutory Audit of Financial statements, the Attorney Trust audit annually Liaising with auditors to assist them with the documentation as required REQUIREMENTS:
Tertiary Accounting Diploma/Degree (B.Com or B.Acc) SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA articles or 3 years experience as a financial accountant Legal firm experience would be beneficial
