Qualifications & ExperienceMatric (Grade 12) Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related qualification Minimum 5 years experience in a Project or Engineering role within automotive or steel manufacturing Press, Weld, or Tooling environment experience advantageous Key Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering and capital projects from concept to commissioning Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources Support industrialisation of new products, tooling, and processes Coordinate equipment installation, line modifications, and process upgrades Ensure projects comply with safety, quality, and environmental standards Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe project execution Monitor project progress and report status to management Liaise with production, maintenance, quality, suppliers, and contractors Resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions Support continuous improvement initiatives linked to engineering projects Ensure proper documentation, handover, and project close-out Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHS standards Proven experience in engineering project management within a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of steel manufacturing, press operations, and production processes Ability to manage equipment installation, line modifications, and process industrialisation
