Description:
Job Purpose:The Senior Foreman is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and leading the site team to ensure projects are executed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. This role serves as a key link between management and the workforce.Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of site staff and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Monitor work progress, quality, and efficiency on site.
- Allocate resources effectively and manage work schedules.
- Report daily progress, issues, and risks to management.
- Train, mentor, and motivate junior staff and team members.
- Conduct regular site inspections and enforce adherence to standards.
- Collaborate with project managers to plan and execute project deliverables.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Foreman or Senior Foreman
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of construction/site operations and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Matric / High School Diploma
- Preferred: Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
