How you'll role
In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things WordPress, from technical scoping and planning to development and deployment. You’ll build fast, functional, and visually striking websites, develop custom themes and plugins, integrate APIs, and ensure everything runs smoothly through maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting. You’ll perform QA, fix bugs before anyone notices, and occasionally guide clients through their CMS with clarity and patience.
What you'll do
- Serve as the go-to WordPress expert, handling technical scoping, planning, implementation, and deployment
- Build fast, functional, and visually appealing websites, primarily using WordPress and WooCommerce
- Develop custom themes, plugins, and API integrations that exceed client expectations
- Maintain websites through updates, troubleshooting, and ongoing support
- Perform QA and bug fixes proactively to ensure smooth operation
- Guide clients through their CMS when needed, providing clear and patient instruction

- Wordpress: 4 to 5 years
- Woocommerce: 4 to 5 years
- Api Integrations: 4 to 5 years
- Deep WordPress expertise: custom themes, plugins, functions, hooks, and core architecture
- WooCommerce customization and management
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, and Git
- Experience with API integrations, including REST and JSON
- MySQL and general database management skills
- Familiarity with hosting environments: cPanel, WHM, Plesk, and sFTP
- Version control experience, including branching and merging
- Basic design skills: Photoshop or equivalent for image resizing and optimization
- Strong debugging skills under pressure
- A comprehensive portfolio demonstrating previous WordPress projects
