Description:
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Somerset West. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, analysis, and delivery of a variety of structural engineering projects across the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural design and analysis of reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures
- Preparation of technical drawings, reports, and specifications
- Coordination with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders
- Site inspections and construction monitoring
- Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- Assisting with project management and delivery within deadlines
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree or BTech in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 3–7 years’ relevant industry experience
- Proficiency in structural design software and AutoCAD/Revit (advantageous)
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- ECSA registration or candidacy (advantageous)
