Someone who isn’t afraid to experiment with bold visuals, unique typography and fresh layouts to make our content stand out on platforms like Meta, Instagram, websites and beyond.
We need someone who’s fearless in experimenting with innovative design trends and cutting-edge web technologies. Your work will shape how thousands see and engage with Africa’s top education brands.
What you need for the job
Technical Skills:
· Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, and layout principles to create visually compelling designs optimized for digital platforms.
· Adapt to digital design vs design for print.
· Knowledge of maintaining brand guidelines across various media, ensuring cohesive visual identity for educational brands.
· Build and customize responsive websites using WordPress and Elementor, creating engaging layouts with widgets, templates, and dynamic content.
· Apply UI/UX principles to ensure intuitive navigation and cross-device compatibility.
· Optimize sites for SEO and performance using plugins like All in One SEO.
· Manage plugins (e.g., WooCommerce, Contact Form 7) and integrations (e.g., Google Analytics, Mailchimp).
· Ability to create and optimize content for various devices (desktop, mobile, tablet) and platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences.
· Bonus: Experience with Elementor Theme Builder, accessibility standards, or AI design tools.
· Be proficient in Adobe software such as Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop etc.
· Meticulous file management and version control and regularly cleaning up your machine.
Soft Skills:
· Stay ahead of design, web design and social media trends, adapting quickly to new tools, styles, and audience preferences.
· Juggle multiple design tasks—campaigns, organic socials, web assets and print media—with exceptional time management and organization.
· Solve creative and technical challenges, from refining brand visuals to troubleshooting cross-platform compatibility.
· Clear communication with your team and management around progress of a project.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively within a fast-paced, cross-functional team.
